What is AMPT?
Motto:
Just the Facts
Congratulations! You are an Engineer.

Overview:

Engineers know how to work, plain and simple. Engineers like nothing more than to put their noses to grindstone. If there is a big project with a tough deadline, an Engineer is the one you want doing the job with time management skills that are second to none. This excellent work ethic with supreme attention to detail allows them to excel in any industry they choose. Engineers always bring along their additional traits of thoughtfulness and unselfishness allowing them to be respected in their positions. The three aspects of your personality tested in AMPT: how you interact with your environment, how you handle information, and what motivates you, blend together to achieve the Engineer outcome.

How you interact with your environment

As an Engineer, you need your own space. You like to be on your own and are usually quiet and reserved, but always thinking. Engineers are deeply interested in their own feelings and thoughts and like concentration and quiet in their surrounding environments. You don't like to have a large group of people around you. You prefer to have those in your life who you are closest to you, with you. Engineers can also have trouble making new contacts and do not like surprises.

How You Handle Information

Engineers handle information by looking for systems, structures, or patterns that they can process through logic. Eve rything is subject to rigorous logical analysis in the Engineer's world. When it comes to making decisions, you base your actions on intellect and whether the action is right or wrong. However, Engineers can also be cold and unemotional and have trouble discussing their true feelings. You love to talk, but sometimes you hide what's really going on inside. This can also lead to you not clearing up arguments or disagreements.

What Motivates You

Leave no question unanswered. That's one of the mottos of the Engineer. You have a keen eye for details, and make sure that every detail is accounted for. The way you handle data and information plays a large role in your motivations. Engineers tend to plan their work ahead of time and finish it on time and with the classic Engineer attention to detail and quality. You have stable work habits and find it easy to follow the rules and stay disciplined. However good your work may be, you have a tendency to be stubborn in your decisions.
