Advance Mentoring Mission Statement
"Advance Mentoring aims to offer every individual, regardless of occupation or affiliation, access to a network of quality Mentors for professional development. "
The Company
Advance Mentoring is a venue where Professional Mentoring relationships take place. Everyone, at one time or another, needs career advice. Previously, if you wanted advice about work and advancement you had limited options: asking friends and family, a career counseling appointment at your school, or just hope you guess right. Now, you can get help and guidance from a leader in your industry through AdvanceMentoring.com, where Mentoring relationships are made.
Those looking to be Mentors are welcome to come and share their skills and industry knowledge to help Mentees (those looking for a Mentor ) succeed in their careers. This incredibly rewarding role as a Mentor lets you give back to the community as you shape a Mentee's future. Advance Mentoring also encourages individuals who want to be both a Mentor and a Mentee: teach others what you know, but also learn from those more experienced than you. This dual role offer an opportunity to complete the Circle of Mentoring: giving and receiving knowledge.
Additionally, Mentees and Mentors can both use our feature-rich site to meet a perfect match. Discuss career topics in the chat room and forum, use the IM and internal e-mail to communicate, and broaden your knowledge in the diverse resources area. So, if you are here to Mentor someone, need Mentor , or both, you have come to the right place.
The idea for Advance Mentoring came to Co-Founder Noah Cirincione as he was out with some friends on March 29th, 2003. The discussion shifted to work, specifically about how one of his friends had been able to get tremendous business advice and help defining a career path from her Mentor. Curious to know more, Noah asked her how she met her Mentor. Her Mentor had been assigned to her from her school after she finished her masters program. Intrigued, he realized that there is no efficient way for people to find quality Business Mentors. And thus, the business was born.

Noah then got in touch with Lucas Hrabovsky, Co-Founder, a fellow Brown University Entrepreneurship Program member. The two brainstormed about the idea and formulated the business model. The goal was to help people create meaningful Professional Mentoring relationships in an efficient, cost-effective, and fun environment. Enjoy!
Advance Mentoring has touched people all over the globe in over 40 countries across all professions, careers, and industries. Come join us and experience this vibrant mentoring community.
