Your Advance Mentoring Tour is an overview of all the features offered by the Advance Mentoring service. This Tour includes an overview of each feature available to our members, an FAQ for each feature, as well as a Flash based demonstration of how to use each feature.
At Advance Mentoring there are two levels of membership, free and Advanced. The free membership is rather simple, but gives you a hands on experience of the actual service. The Advanced Membership, for only $9.95 USD per month, gives you exclusive access to several features not available to our free members. MyEmail is your own Private Messaging system, designed to mimic your other email accounts. Save messages in your in box and sent items for review later
The chat room is for members to communicate on either a personal or community level Click the chat room button on the left-hand menu and the chat room you will automatically be logged into the chat room using your username. Simply enter your message in the blue box and press send to display your message to other users. If you prefer to communicate on a one-to-one basis, double-click the username in the list on the right to display a private chat window that can only be seen by you and the person you are communicating with.
Regularly, other Advance Mentoring members who are experts in their respective fields volunteer to host an Ask the Expert Mentor Session. Topics covered in the session depend upon which Expert Mentor is hosting the session and where his or her specialties lie. Topics in the past have ranged from finding a literary agent to writing a business plan. Members who wish to attend a Session are asked to RSVP by clicking on the RSVP button on the Ask the Expert Mentor Page and include questions they may have so that the Expert Mentor has time to review each question prior to the session so very high quality responses have been given. Transcripts of each session are available 3-4 hours after the session has been completed on the Ask the Expert Mentor page.
The My Home is your center point while using the Advance Mentoring web site. Utilize the My Mentors, My Mentees, My Media, and AMPT tables to easily jump between functions.
AMPT is a simple personality test designed by Advance Mentoring for use by our Members so they may have yet another tool for finding a Mentor or Mentee easier. It is designed to test three main aspects of your personality; how you interact with your environment, how you handle information, and what motivates you.
After answering these short 16 questions, you will be taken to a new page with a brief overview of what some common characteristics of your type are and which other types your are most likely to be compatible and incompatible with. Your results will be shown on your profile page, as will other members who have taken AMPT. If you are unhappy with your results, feel free to take the test as many times as you like.
